Starbucks Delivery UK Uber Eats, Deliveroo & Just Eat

Starbucks UK delivers through Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat, and the price you pay is not the price on the counter board. Across the 188 items tracked here, 157 show a difference between the cheapest and dearest partner listing, and the gap averages 17.7 percent.

That figure is the useful one, because it is measured rather than claimed. Every price on this site comes from the delivery partners Starbucks links from its own site, and the spread between the lowest and highest observed listing is what this page is about.

What Each Platform Carries

Starbucks lists all three partners on their own delivery page, but they do not all carry the same range, and menus differ by store.

How Much More Delivery Costs

The median spread across tracked items is 15.4 percent and the average 17.7 percent, so a rough rule is that delivery adds something close to a sixth before any fees. That is before the delivery charge, the service fee and any small order fee, none of which are in the figures on this site.

The spread is widest on cheap items, which is the opposite of what most people expect. A Pain au Chocolat runs from £3.10 to £4.50, a 38 percent difference, and lightly salted Kettle Chips from £1.55 to £2.20, a third more.

Expensive items move least in percentage terms. The Lemon Tart spans just 3 percent from £4.70 to £4.85, and the Beyond Meat Breakfast Sandwich 6 percent. A flat uplift applied to a low price shows up as a large percentage, which is the whole of the pattern.

Which Platform to Use

Deliveroo lists the widest range of the two platforms tracked here, appearing against 161 items where Uber Eats appears against 105. That does not make it cheaper, only broader, and the lowest price for a given item sits on either platform depending on the store.

Coverage is set store by store rather than nationally. A branch signed up to one platform and not another is common, so the practical answer is to check both against your own postcode rather than committing to one app.

Some items never appear on delivery at all. Twelve of the tracked menu carry no partner price, including the Espresso, the Cortado and the Chai Latte. Those are counter and app orders, and no price is shown for them anywhere on this site rather than an invented one.

Ordering Well for Delivery

Blended drinks travel worst. A Frappuccino separates within about ten minutes as the ice parts from the milk, so a drink that takes twenty minutes to arrive is a different product from the one made at the bar. Hot drinks hold better, and anything from the fridge is unaffected.

Hot food is the other thing to think about. The signature toasties depend on cheese that has just melted, and they firm up as they cool. Cold sandwiches and the bakery case travel without any loss at all.

For value, the arithmetic is worth doing once. A delivery order of two drinks and two pastries carries the 17.7 percent average uplift plus fees, which on a £20 counter basket is closer to £27 by the time it reaches the door.

Starbucks Delivery

Is Starbucks more expensive on Deliveroo and Uber Eats?

Yes. Across 157 tracked items with a measurable spread, delivery listings run 17.7 percent higher on average than the cheapest observed price, before delivery and service fees.

Which Starbucks items have the biggest delivery markup?

The cheap ones. A Pain au Chocolat and an Almond Croissant both span 38 percent, from £3.10 to £4.50. A flat uplift on a low price reads as a large percentage.

Does Starbucks UK deliver through Just Eat?

Starbucks lists Just Eat among its delivery partners alongside Deliveroo and Uber Eats. Coverage is set per store, so availability depends on your postcode rather than being national.

Why do some Starbucks drinks have no delivery price?

Twelve tracked items are not listed by any partner, including the Espresso, the Cortado and the Chai Latte. They are counter and app orders, and this site shows no price for them rather than estimating one.

Do delivery prices match the in store menu?

No. Every price on this site comes from the delivery partners, and in store pricing is usually lower. The counter is the cheaper option on essentially every item.

Which drinks travel worst on delivery?

Blended ones. A Frappuccino separates within about ten minutes as the ice parts from the milk. Hot drinks hold better and anything from the chilled cabinet is unaffected.
