Starbucks UK Questions Answered Prices, Sizes & More
Twenty-four questions about the Starbucks UK menu, prices, stores and ordering, answered from the 128 items and 1,378 stores tracked on this site. This FAQ covers what applies across the whole menu; anything specific to one drink or one branch is answered on that page.
Locations and Hours
Does every UK Starbucks sell the same menu?
Close to it, with the exceptions clustered in one place. The 23 airport stores and 70 station stores set their own prices and often carry a shorter food range, because those sites are run under licence rather than directly. A high street branch in Leeds and one in Brighton work from the same national list.
How many Starbucks stores have a drive-thru?
476 of the 1,378 UK stores, a little over a third. They cluster on ring roads, retail parks and A roads rather than in town centres, which is also why they tend to open earlier than a high street branch. Each town page here marks which of its branches has one.
Can I ring a Starbucks store directly?
For 948 of the 1,378 stores, yes. That is how many publish a phone number, and it appears on the store card on its town page. The rest are mostly counters inside supermarkets, stations and hospitals, where the phone belongs to the host site rather than to Starbucks.
How spread out is Starbucks across the UK?
1,378 stores across 97 counties, but the distribution is nothing like even. London alone holds more branches than most whole regions, while several counties have a single store serving the entire area. The store locator lists every county with its count so the difference is visible at a glance.
Which Starbucks stores never close?
24 of them trade around the clock, and every one is on a motorway service area or a major road. No high street branch in the UK stays open overnight. Those 24 are flagged on their town pages with their full full week schedule.
Do the opening times on this site come from Starbucks?
They come from the store listings Starbucks publishes for each branch, read fresh on every rebuild rather than typed in once. A branch inside a supermarket or a station usually follows the host building, so it can change when the host changes without the listing catching up immediately.
Nutrition and Allergens
Does the cup size change the calories as much as the price?
More, proportionally. A Caffè Latte runs 74 calories in a Short, 124 in a Tall, 151 in a Grande and 204 in a Venti, because almost all of the increase is milk. On a black coffee the same four sizes barely move, since there is nothing in the cup to scale.
Which allergens turn up most often on the Starbucks UK menu?
Milk leads at 46 items, then wheat at 42, egg at 29 and soya at 17. Barley, almonds, sesame, mustard, celery and fish each appear on a handful. The nutrition calculator filters the menu by any of them.
Are there Starbucks UK items with no sugar at all?
Nine, and they are what you would expect: still and sparkling water, black coffee and unsweetened tea. Below those, the lowest sugar figures on anything flavoured sit around 0.1g on Cold Brew and the Iced Caffè Americano. At the other end, Mini Waffles carry 51g.
How many Starbucks UK items are vegan or vegetarian?
16 items carry the vegan label and another 35 are marked vegetarian, so a little under half the menu is one or the other. Nine items are labelled gluten free, almost all of them bottled drinks rather than food. Those labels come from Starbucks, not from reading the ingredients here.
Why do some items show no caffeine figure?
58 of the 128 items carry one, and the other 70 are food, water and juice, where Starbucks publishes no caffeine value because there is none to publish. A missing figure on this site always means the source has no number, never that the number was left out.
Do the nutrition figures cover the drink as ordered or as sold?
As sold, in the standard build for that size, with the milk Starbucks lists as default. A syrup pump, an extra shot or a swap to oat changes the result and is not reflected in the published table. The calculator here works from the same published figures, so it carries the same limit.
Ordering and Rewards
How many Starbucks stores take Mobile Order and Pay?
1,267 of the 1,378, which is 92% of the estate. The ones without it are mostly small licensed counters inside other businesses. A slightly smaller number, 1,249, will redeem Rewards stars, so a branch that takes your order in the app will almost always take your stars too.
Can I use this site instead of the Starbucks app?
For looking things up, yes. Every price, calorie count and store schedule here is readable without an account, an app or a login. What you cannot do from here is order or pay; this is an independent reference site with no connection to Starbucks.
Does adding syrup or an extra shot change the price?
An extra espresso shot is charged; standard syrups are not. Neither shows up in the published price list, which prices the standard build only, so the figures here are the starting point for a drink rather than the total for a customised one.
Which Starbucks stores warm food?
861 of the 1,378 have an oven, so roughly three in five. It matters for the toasties, paninis and the breakfast range, which are cold cabinet items in a store without one. The feature is listed on each store card.
Is there Wi-Fi in UK Starbucks stores?
457 stores list Starbucks Wi-Fi and another 558 list a wireless hotspot, so a little over a thousand of the 1,378 offer some form of connection. The gaps are mainly drive-thru only sites and counters inside stations, where there is nowhere to sit anyway.
How current are the figures on this page?
Every number above is read from the menu and store data at build time, not typed into the page, and the site rebuilds against the live source. When Starbucks changes a price or a store changes its hours, the answer changes with it rather than going quietly stale.
